Roundness & Runout Inspection
Inspection Scope & Standards
We inspect roller roundness, radial runout, end-face runout, and cylindricity using precision measuring equipment. The inspection standards and our typical machining capabilities are as follows:
|
Inspection Item |
Measuring Equipment |
Typical Accuracy Requirement |
Our Capability |
|
Roundness |
Roundness Measuring Instrument / Outside Micrometer |
≤ 0.005 mm |
≤ 0.002 mm |
|
Radial Runout |
Dial Indicator / Test Indicator + V-Blocks |
≤ 0.01 mm (standard) / ≤ 0.005 mm (precision) |
≤ 0.003 mm |
|
End-Face Runout |
Dial Indicator + Magnetic Base |
≤ 0.01 mm |
≤ 0.005 mm |
|
Cylindricity |
Roundness Measuring Instrument + Multi-Section Measurement |
≤ 0.01 mm/m |
≤ 0.003 mm/m |
Runout Data & Traceability
Runout measurements are recorded at multiple points along the full roller length. The measurement results are compiled into a runout curve showing the variation of the roller surface along its axial direction.
The runout curve and corresponding measurement data can be delivered with the roller as part of the final inspection documentation, providing customers with a clear record for quality acceptance, installation, and future maintenance reference.
