Q1: How do I choose the right roller material for my operating conditions?
A: The appropriate roller material should be selected based on several factors, including operating environment, humidity, temperature, load, line speed, and the materials or chemicals in contact with the roller.
- General applications and standard loads: 45# steel or 20# carbon steel provides a cost-effective solution with reliable mechanical performance.
- Humid, food-processing, or medical environments: 304 or 316 stainless steel is recommended for its excellent corrosion resistance and hygienic properties.
- Lightweight or high-speed applications: Aluminum alloy is an ideal choice due to its low weight and good machining performance.
- High wear resistance, high nip pressure, or oil-resistant applications: NBR-, PU-, or silicone-coated rollers can be selected according to specific operating requirements.
Q2: What surface treatments are available for rollers, and what are their benefits?
A: We offer various surface treatment options to meet different process and application requirements.
- Hard Chrome Plating: Provides high surface hardness of up to HRC 60+ and excellent wear resistance. It is commonly used for cooling rollers, printing rollers, and other high-wear applications.
- Mirror Polishing: Surface roughness can reach Ra ≤ 0.02 μm, providing excellent anti-adhesion and easy-cleaning performance. It is suitable for plastic film, optical film, food-processing, and other applications requiring an ultra-smooth surface.
- Rubber Coating: Provides increased friction, cushioning, or protection. Coating materials such as NBR, silicone, and PU can be customized according to oil resistance, temperature resistance, hardness, and friction requirements.
Q3: What precision levels can JHC rollers achieve?
A: Our precision rollers can achieve concentricity and Total Indicator Runout (TIR) within 0.02 mm. For high-precision mirror rollers, surface roughness can reach approximately Ra 0.005–0.01 μm.
Higher precision specifications can also be customized according to your equipment, process, and application requirements.

A: Our standardized custom roller process is designed to make project execution clear and efficient:
1. Requirement Confirmation
Provide your drawings, operating conditions, technical specifications, or initial design requirements.
2. Engineering Review & Quotation
Our engineers evaluate the requirements and can provide a technical proposal and quotation within 24 hours for standard inquiries.
3. Order Confirmation & Sampling
After the specifications and commercial terms are confirmed, we proceed with the order. Prototype or sample production can be arranged when required.
4. Manufacturing
The rollers are manufactured through our integrated in-house production process.
5. Quality Inspection
Dimensional, surface, dynamic balance, and other required inspections are completed before shipment.
6. Delivery & After-Sales Support
We arrange suitable logistics and provide ongoing technical and after-sales support.
Q7: What information should I provide for a custom roller quotation?
A: To help us evaluate your project and provide an accurate quotation quickly, please provide the following information:
- Technical drawing, preferably in PDF format, or detailed dimensions such as roller diameter, face length, overall length, and shaft-end configuration
- Material requirements, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, chrome-plated steel, or rubber-coated surfaces
- Surface treatment requirements
- Application and operating conditions, including equipment type, line speed, operating temperature, load, and contact materials
The more complete the technical information, the faster our engineers can recommend the appropriate roller structure and manufacturing solution.
Lead Time & International Shipping
Q8: What are the lead times for standard and custom rollers?
A: For commonly used roller specifications, we maintain selected inventory or can arrange expedited production. Certain standard rollers can be ready for shipment in as little as 7 days.
For custom rollers, the lead time depends on factors such as dimensions, material, surface treatment, precision requirements, and order quantity. The confirmed production schedule will be provided when the order is placed.
Q9: Do you support international shipping and customs documentation?
A: Yes. We have extensive experience supplying rollers to international markets.
Depending on your preferred Incoterms, such as FOB or CIF, we can arrange:
- Sea freight
- Air freight
- Land transportation
- Multimodal transportation
We can also provide the necessary export and customs clearance documentation, including Certificates of Origin and other required shipping documents.
Warranty & After-Sales Service
Q10: What is the warranty period for JHC rollers?
A: We provide a standard 12-month warranty from the date of shipment for our roller products.
During the warranty period, if a product failure is confirmed to result from manufacturing or material defects rather than improper operation, accidental damage, or force majeure, we will provide repair or replacement support in accordance with the applicable warranty terms.

Q11: Does JHC accept OEM and ODM roller orders?
A: Yes. OEM and ODM manufacturing are an important part of our business.
