Chrome plating rollers, as an electroplating process, work by using metal ions in an electrolyte to form a metal film on the roller surface, thus achieving chrome plating.

When the chrome plating roller is immersed in the electrolyte, its surface becomes charged. Metal ions form a metal film on the roller surface. Simultaneously, metal ions in the electrolyte react with this metal film, forming a thick metal film. This completes the chrome plating process.

The working principle of chrome plating rollers is essentially the formation of a metal film on the roller surface by metal ions, and the reaction between metal ions in the electrolyte and this film to form a thick metal film.

After prolonged use, mirror-finish rollers experience a reduction in surface smoothness, leading to a decrease in product quality. Traditionally, the rollers need to be disassembled and assembled in a large or small machining center or CNC machining center for grinding and polishing. Generally, after use, mirror-finish rollers accumulate some residue on the surface, such as sealing glue, hardened solid particles, etc.

So how do you clean the residue from the surface of a mirror roller?

Generally, to extend the lifespan of a mirror roller, its surface is usually plated with stainless steel. When cleaning, be careful not to damage the surface. If there is sealant residue, you can wipe it with a small amount of detergent, then wipe it clean with a soft, clean cloth.

If there are a few hardened solid particles that cannot be wiped off with a towel, you can gently scrape them off with your fingernail, but avoid scratching the surface of the mirror roller with your fingernail. In recent years, industrial development has been rapid, and many innovative technologies have been applied to industrial production. Mirror rollers are a common type of equipment. However, prolonged use can cause damage to the equipment and pollution, thus significantly reducing its lifespan.
